John Bridge will present the keynote address "Social Media Investigations and Virtual Currency Update” during lunch.

 

John Bridge, Senior Inspector with the US Marshals Service, Financial Surveillance Unit, will discuss “Investigations using Social Media” and “An Update on Virtual Currency” during the Keynote Address. 

 

Inspector Bridge began his career with the US Marshals Service in 1994 after spending eight years in the Marine Corps as a Military Policeman and Criminal Investigator.  He was initially assigned to Washington DC before transferring to Hammond, Indiana where he initiated an MOU creating a fugitive task force that later became one of the charter offices of the Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. 

 

After transferring to South Carolina in 2004, Bridge set up a new fugitive task force office in Spartanburg, South Carolina, running that office until he transferred to North Carolina in 2008. 

 

In 2005, Bridge was selected to serve in the Financial Surveillance Unit, which was a pilot project at that time.  Bridge was selected for one of two full time positions in the Financial Surveillance Unit when it was formalized in 2010.  Inspector Bridge brings a wealth of knowledge that he will share during the lunch presentation.

Lisa Pryse, CHPA, CPP: Division President of Healthcare with Old Dominion Security and President of IAHSS Board of Directors

 

Lisa will present on "Security and System Enhancements For Improved Return on Investment."

 

Lisa Pryse is currently serving as Division President of Healthcare and Chief of Company Police at Old Dominion Security Healthcare Security Solutions. Lisa also serves as the President of the IAHSS Board of Directors at the International Association of Healthcare Safety and Security.  

 

Lisa was previously system Chief of Police and Public Safety for the Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA.  Before moving to the Virginia area, Lisa served as the Campus Police and Public Safety Chief for WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, NC for more than 18 years. She served as the Director of Protective Services at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh, NC for 5 years. She began her law enforcement career with the City of Raleigh Police Department.

Pat King, Senior Business Consultant, Sunstates Security and ASIS Region 4B Vice President

 

Pat King will be discussing the ASIS International Association and various training options available through ASIS. As a member of the panel for the discussion on "Security - An Ongoing Process," he will provide valuable insight into contract security services. 

 

Pat brings over thirty years experience with IBM, twenty five of those years in management to include manager of security, safety, environmental health and administrative services at the Research Triangle Park (RTP), NC plant/laboratory site. After retiring from IBM, Pat opened the Research Triangle branch of a national security services company. Following his years in the contract security industry Pat took a position as a Physical Security Manager for First Citizens Bank headquartered in Raleigh, NC.

 

Pat has been involved with the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International) for over twenty five years, and currently serves as a Regional Vice President of ASIS, responsible for seven chapters in North and South Carolina. Previously, he served two terms as Chairman of the Research Triangle Chapter and as the 1998 Chairman of the Greater Charlotte Chapter and is currently active in the Fayetteville chapter. He has made expert presentations on the topic of workplace violence at the ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Las Vegas, New Orleans, and most recently Dallas in 2010. He has provided comprehensive training sessions and consultations with numerous companies and organizations throughout the country on security and prevention of workplace violence.

 

Pat is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a degree in Business Management.

Laura Schroeder, Focus Sales Inc.

 

Laura joined the Focus Team in 2007, jumping the fence from the integration side of the security business to the manufacturer representative side. Her IT background (B.S., Computer Science, University of Tennessee, MCSE, CNE) combined with her experience working with end-users and being a technical instructor, have influenced the Focus Sales' go-to-market strategy, company philosophy and many other aspects of the business. Jerry T. Blanchard, CPP: Chief Executive Officer of RMA

 

As a member of the panel for the discussion, "Security - An Ongoing Process," Jerry will provide valuable insight into contract security services. He will be available to answer questions and share his knowledge as a specialist security consultant. 

 

Jerry has served as a consultant and private investigator for RMA (Risk Management Associates, Inc.) since 1995. Currently he is a Chief Executive Officer for RMA.

 

Mr. Blanchard possesses 25 years of experience in both military and professional security operations. In those 25 years, he has worked in force protection operations, technical systems operation, and security consulting. His consulting experience has allowed him to gain in-depth knowledge in security systems design, threat and vulnerability assessment, risk identification, and risk mitigation. 

 

Jerry received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College. He is a Holder of DoD Security Clearance at the “Top Secret” Level and is a Certified Protection Professional.

John Morris, Director of Security, American Tobacco Company

 

John Morris will be a member of the panel for the discussion, "Security, An Ongoing Process."

 

John Morris spent 30 years in law enforcement with the City of Durham where he worked in all aspects of police work including special weapons, vice, narcotics and investigations as well as patrol and management. 

 

Upon retirement John joined American Tobacco as an Allied Barton Security Services contractor.  In 2010 he joined the Capitol Broadcasting/American Tobacco team and he has been active as Director of Security since May 2010. 

 

John is solely responsible for security on the American Tobacco Campus and acts as a consultant on all other properties owned by the Capitol Broadcasting Company.  This includes security recommendations and the directing of projects from inception to conclusion. 

 

In July of 2013 John launched a consulting firm which he operates with the assistance of a retired ATF Officer.

Lou Tunno, HID Global Southeast Regional Manager 

 

Lou Tunno will be discussing card access technology during the "Design and Technology Trends for System Retrofit and Expansion" presentation. 

 

Lou has over 25 years of experience in the security world both on the integration side and manufacture side. He started his career designing, installing and servicing access control, video, fire and burglar alarm systems. He then moved on to the manufacturing side representing Northern Computer, Honeywell Access, and Pelco.

 

For the past seven years Lou has been with HID Global as the Southeast Regional Manager and works closely with consultants, end-user and the integration channel.  During Lou’s presentation he will be discussing smart card reader and card technologies that puts HID Global in a unique position to play a critical role in the evolution and adoption of smart card technology.

Anita Jelley, CPP: President of ProNet Systems, Inc. and ASIS Region 4B Assistant Vice President 

 

Anita Jelley will provide the first presentation of the seminar, with the discussion, "Security Situation Analysis" and Perimeter Security. 

 

Anita is the President of ProNet Systems, Inc. and has been active in the security industry for over twenty years and has extensive experience in the application of CCTV/video, access control, security and audio systems.

 

Anita holds an associate degree in Business Administration from Damelin College, Johannesburg, South Africa. She is an ASIS Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP), and holds a NC Low Voltage Electrical License (LVSP).        

Anita currently serves as an Assistant Regional Vice President for ASIS Region 4B. She served as Chapter Chair for ASIS (American Society for Industrial Security) Chapter 119 in 1996 and was also the ASIS Assistant Regional Vice President for North Carolina in 1998.

 

In 2009, Anita received the Paul D. Schiller award for devoted service to ASIS Research Triangle Chapter 119. She is Past Communications Committee Chair for ASIS Chapter 119, RTP and past Publicity Chair for the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA (International Facility Management Association).

When in Pasadena, USA and Southern Africa he received diplomas in Production Management, Microprocessor Technology and Quality Assurance. He holds a NC Low Voltage Electrical License (LVSP) and contributed to communication and telemetry systems for a well-known NASA project while in Pasadena.      


Alan has over twenty years specialized technical expertise in applying value added video, access control, audio and related systems. He is experienced in the design and application of LAN/WAN, wireless and microwave technology and has shared this knowledge during many training programs. He has authored several industry articles over the years.   

 

 

Mickey MacDaniel, Director of Business Development for Lenel Systems International

 

Mickey MacDaniel will be participating during the Equipment Review and Discussion portion of the seminar. 

 

Mickey MacDaniel is the Director of Business Development for Lenel Systems International and has over twenty years experience in sales, engineering, design, management and marketing in the “Integrated Security Management Industry”.  He has a strong background in Access Control, Alarm Monitoring, ID Management, CCTV and Emergency Communications and has a BS Degree in Finance and Business Management.

 

Before joining Lenel, Mickey was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for a leading Security Integrator, CIS, in Northern Virginia; covering mid-Atlantic regional and national projects. Before joining CIS, Mickey acted as Regional Sales Manager for ten years for a Baltimore based Security Systems Integrator. 

 

Mickey has also been a Security Consultant and Advisor for several major Sports Complex projects including "Pittsburgh Steelers", "New England Patriots" and "The Chicago Bears" new stadiums.
